3 In the Hammock of Used Nooses

nightfall. so unlike the tortoise to annihilate in three minutes under the guise of a haltered
prickly pear. leaving false evidence in the hammock made of used nooses.

playing cards in the plaza parking lot. rumors of purple garters. and rump...yes, certainly.
"Rise an ounce! If only to collide with..!!"

the tiger, her husband, in a prolonged coma.

A series of them, with accomplices, under the guise of the custom of the day.

How about in an oval-backed cane chair?
Or on a mound of uncooked starches??

A big wave from the camel in the wings.

Blithe bobcat respectfully anointing an elevator shoe.
(Despite mockery from the comatose tiger's relatives).

Always looking both ways and drinking all his Corn Juice.

The tiger relatives fall into talk of
complexions.
And who uses the best emollient.

All here under the guise of congratulations for a life well-lived.
And feigned remembering of his waltz of fame and happiness.

white hair, grey hair. anonymous now.

The sawhorse and scissors
reveal the modified will,

all rough edges and embroidered in italics,

(the guise of unalloyed truth)...

transferring it to the trash can.

A kind of 'palm tree' folding chair stands tucked behind
the masonry. Remembering.

Am now kind of getting a "Sicky Claws Conquers..." vibe from this story, not to mention a touch of Puzz Fundles. (Chapter 2, anyway). Intricate wordplay - don't know how you make it all intertwine with past chapter sections and so forth. Interesting... This kind of thing is honestly flying a tad ways over my head, though do grasp the 'jist' of it (to a degree). Is without a doubt both a unique form/structure of storytelling, and feel is something that takes time to appreciate fully. (Could see as a truly 'mad' comic story, in a similar vein as Sicky or Puzz.)

The whole animal/furniture disguise (?) character thing truly does my head in (in a good way), and brings to mind some strange feverish cartoon/real world imagery of an origin I can't quite place at the moment. Hard to comment on without merely focusing on 'surface' stuff only, though I do get the 'beyond' doings of this work, if cannot explain as would like.

Anyway, a crap comment from this here 'ape', sorry... Look forward to further chapters and will try elaborate on such feeling next time round. :)

Thanks for the efforts! Gives me a chance to make a few points myself.

Have no specific comics art tack in mind with these things. If they were drawn, (which they 'shouldn't' be),
I do see them as literal animals
and furniture, whatever anthropomorphic thing they are doing, even the wearing of disguises,(if that's what the words are calling for).

This type of 'writing' has more in common with sound poetry
than any literal story, but i've never gotten very far with just sounds when they don't refer to something.

As to understanding, it's like a
zen thing, i guess, --don't try too
hard to comprehend and then you
can.

Plus, as in life, contradictions
inevitably abound...
